Madarash Assunnah Guidelines

The purpose of these guidelines is to ensure that you are aware of our admission requirements and that your child is prepared for the rigorous academic environment at Madrasah Assunnah.

Admission and Minimum Age

Your child must be five years old on the first day of Madrasah. We cannot accept children younger than this age.

Please remember that while parents may be eager to enroll their children as early as possible, very young children may not be prepared for the intensive learning that occurs in the foundational stages of Madrasah. Other important factors to consider include your child’s ability to use the restroom independently, climb stairs, and put on their shoes without assistance. In our experience, children who begin in the “Entry 1 class” at age five typically adjust well and experience minimal difficulties when transitioning to the “Entry 2 class.”

If your child does not meet the minimum age requirement, they will automatically be placed in the following year.

Admission Priority

Madrasah Assunnah has a limited number of annual admissions. Admission priority is given in the following order:

  1. Members of the Madrasah Assunnah community (if the application form is submitted before the deadline).
  2. Siblings of current students (if the application form is submitted before the deadline).
  3. Applications received in chronological order (first come, first served).

Assunnah Advanced Arabic

At the advanced level, students should be able to read, write, understand, and speak Arabic fluently. While oral communication may initially be challenging due to a lack of practice, our courses are designed to help students develop their speaking skills.
