About Us

Assunnah Islamic Centre

Established in 1997, Assunnah Islamic Centre (AIC) is a vibrant community hub located in North London. Founded by a group of dedicated Muslims, AIC serves as a cornerstone for the local Muslim population, providing essential services and fostering a strong sense of belonging.

Our History

Assunnah Islamic Centre (AIC), founded in 1997, has been serving the Muslim community in North London, achieving significant milestones such as charity registration in 2003, relocation to Tottenham, hosting the first summer conference in 2004, and purchasing its current center building in 2008 for £1.15 million to better serve the community

1997

Founding of AIC Assunnah Islamic Centre (AIC) was established in 1997 by a group of dedicated Muslims with the aim of supporting the integration and growth of the newly arrived Muslim community in North London.

2003

Charity Registration and Expansion In May 2003, AIC was officially registered as a charity with the Charity Commission of England and Wales. That October, we relocated our headquarters to Tottenham. The following year, we hosted our inaugural summer conference, featuring multilingual community lectures, stalls, and activities.

2008

Building Acquisition In 2008, we successfully purchased the current center building for £1.15 million. This significant investment provided us with a dedicated space to serve our community more effectively and expand our programs.

2024

Current Status Today 2024, AIC is a thriving community center offering a wide range of services, including a Madrasah, primary school, and weekly classes. We are proud of our accomplishments and remain committed to serving the needs of our local Muslim community.
